The Learning Annex Internet Expo Again

And according to that Gregorian calendar, it is a Sunday on this day again, that day of rest, the Sabbath. Or is that Saturday. And yet I find myself blaghing away for some reason. And so I found myself at that Learning Annex Internet Expo on this day with one of those free full day passes , at that Marriott Marquis hotel near Times Square in that City of New York, that I event that I blah blogged about a few days ago on this blog. And so I went to that expo in an attempt to network and learn a class my way to internet riches and also to network with other bloggers or would be bloggers in an attempt to leave those No Police State Girl business cards everywhere and to everyone in an attempt to get rich internet quick. Though with the lack of tables or booths placed anywhere for this purpose, instead I found myself leaving and placing those business cards on hallway floors, bathroom floors, elevator floors, water cooler tables, bathroom sinks and in bathroom stalls etc; in hopes to network and interact with other attendees at this expo other than the presenters, speakers and organizers at this event. And for who this advertising and marketing event is for, I am not exactly sure. And so that catalogue for this event to be found on a table there and the cover of that program reads something like:
The Learnng Annex Internet Expo. America’s Largets How to Make Money Expo. with Twitter Co-Creator, Dom Sagolla (wow!), Get 28 million viewers, Dmitry Shapiro, Huffington Post, Jonah Peretti, Sell anything with video, Mike Koenigs, Six figure blogging, Lockhart Steele (now that one sounds interesting I think…), Start A T-shirt Line, Buy, sell and profit on eBay, Get a number one Google reading, Andrew Hazen, Make money with iPhone Apps, Dana Farbo, Get Free advertising, Fabrice Grinda (And if it’s free, then its for me, maybe.), Publish your ebook, Susan Danziger, Money for your idea, Jay Levy, Internet Businesses for women, Karla Lightfoot, Start a seven figure internet business, Nate Richardson (Seven figures you say?), Get free publicity, Steve Krakauer, Sell your content, Murray Hidary, Blog, podcast and grow rich (wow again!), Scott Paton, Attract anything with the secret, David Schirmer and Raise money for any business, Morgan Howard. And so the inside of this program goes on to mention Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and just about all things social media user generated content everything and lots of other things for the internet and beyond and the entrepreneur in one. Have a great attempt to get rich internet quick and more day.

Market This Blog

An email marketing application designed specifically for bloggers. Now that sounds interesting. That sounds like an application that I would like to consider using for this blog as well as my other blogs in my blogaholicness. Short of running around with a bull horn in hand and placards in the other, or short of attempting to put skywriting in the sky, this application sounds like it can be one of those applications that can do a lot of email marketing for me without all of the usual work of having to look for a bazillion email addresses to send one at a time over days and months and years at a time. Maybe this application could send them all in second, I guess. What could that be all about? Well, if you happen to be looking for a way to promote your blog and have lots of visitors visit your page, Zookoda is there for you. Zookoda is an email marketing application designed specifically for bloggers. They enables you to send a daily, weekly and monthly summaries of your latest blog posts directly into your visitors inbox. And it’s all for free. Free you say? Now that is enough for me to go and visit their website now. They can help you create an email newsletter to keep your visitors informed all the time. One can add newsletter subscription forms to their blog where visitors can sign to receive your latest blog content via email, and you can even send recurring broadcasts including a feed refresh to update your email content. And even if you are not a blogger, Zookoda can still help you to send content for your website with those rss/atom feeds. Zookoda can help you build visitors with their subscriptions. They are all email marketing all the time.

Affiliate Summit

Affiliate Summit. What’s an Affiliate Summit? Again today I find myself blah blogging away on this blog in my do not get rich Internet quickless mode. And now that I have been sent to look for a sixth day job after that last Google page rank update that gave this blog a negative one hundred, I am starting to ask myself that question, “To blog, or not to blog. That is the question.” And somehow I received this email yesterday with the subject line “Lets Meet Up!”. And the email is something about the Affiliate Summit Conference and The Affiliate Marketing Conference. Are those the people and companies who’s ads for products and services I have placed all over this blog in hopes that someone will click on them and I can get rick Internet quick? And then the email went on to say, “We are well aware of the marketing plug for Las Vegas – “What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas.” But we don’t want to follow their rules. Everyone at Affiliate Summit should tell all about the great companies they met and people they want to do business with. We sure will…” So I imagine the Affiliate Summit West must be approaching soon. And it is. The Affiliate Summits of the past have taken place in London, Miami, Las Vegas and other places. And this years Affiliate Summit 2008 West will be at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, February 24-26, 2008. Speakers include: Larry Adams, Stephanie Agresta, David Baker, Ron Bechdolt, Chris Brogan, Jason Calacanis, Tim Carter, Steven Cho, John Chow, Michael Coley, Joel Comm, Haiko de Poel, Jr., John Engler, Justine Ezarik, Marty Fahncke,Linda Goodman, Jeffrey Greenbaum, Chuck Hamrick, Sam Harrelson, Eileen Harrington, John Hasson, Jason Hayden,Tris Hussey, Trevor Jezierski, Karen Jackie, Zac Johnson, Kyle Johnston, Kristopher Jones, Bennet Kelley, Mark Kirschner, Chris Kramer, Jim Kukral, Owner, Kevin Lee,Sergio Lemus, David Lewis, Graham MacRobie, William Martin-Gill, Don Mathis, Brian McCarthy, Colin McDougall, Amit Mehta, Dan Murray, James O’Brien, Heather Paulson,Kent Phillips, Lisa Picarille, Scott Polk, Durk Price, Alex Rampell, Wil Reynolds,Steven Richter, Lisa Riolo, Dana Rockel, Andy Rodriguez, Steve Rosenbaum, Melissa Salas, Steve Schaffer, Deborah Schultz, Jeremy Schultz, Anik Singal, Joshua Sloan,Kevin Smith, Jonathan Stefansky, Valerie Stevens, Jonathan Treiber, Gary Vaynerchuk, Robert Weber, Andrew Wee, David Weinrot and more, And there also seems to be booths and exhibitors and more booths and exhibitors as part of this conference. This Summit seems like it is all marketing, advertising and affiliating, all the time. And though I am not exactly sure of what the Affiliate Marketing conference is all about, it seems as if it may have something to do with the Internet, marketing, advertising, buy, sell and get rick Internet quick. And does that mean one can network and meet all the affiliate marketers they can ever meet under one roof? And whatever this conference may be all about, have a great affiliate marketing day.

The Freelancer

I have always wanted to be a freelancer, I think. I sometimes find myself using the word freelance when people ask me that question “And so, what do you do for a living?”, and then also when I run out of things to explain for myself as to what my day job is. And what is freelancing anyway? I imagine is has something to do with the freelance market place, working for ones self and being self employed or something. It can be a great way of outsourcing work for programmers, copywriters, graphic designers, writers, consultants and other professionals who can post, advertise and bid their services and projects around town to others and get their job done. Whatever freelancing is, I guess it can be a great way to find work. This is a sponsored post.

Pay Per IZEA?

Hugh? Am I seeing things? There is an email sitting in my inbox with the title that reads “PayPerPost is Now IZEA”. Hugh? PayPerPost is what? Pay Per Post was or is the greatest name ever. Oh no! Will I ever be able to quit my day job now in my attempt to blah blog my way to riches. Will I have to get two day jobs now? And I have not even read the email for the title alone gets me going. The thought that Pay Per Post is now who? Does Pay Per Post mention what this newly found name is all about on their blog? As companies change their names all the times for whatever reasons. I should read their blog or that email now for further information on what this is about. Maybe this is all an illusion in the blogosphere. Or maybe I do not need to read it as they are still there blogging away as the kings, or as what I perceive as the kings of the pay per post blogging world. Or is kings a good word to use. Maybe leaders of the blogging world, or is leaders a good word to use. Maybe paid blogging companies is a better word to use. Well, whatever this newly found change of name is all about, Pay Per Post still rocks. Oh, I mean IZEA still rocks.

This Blog

And so in my attempt to market this blog and blah blog my way to riches in the pay you to post and blog and make millions and billions online in the bloggerland blogosphere, someone left a comment on my “Sell This Product” posting yesterday that went like, “yer blog sucks and you are an adwhore.”. Now that leads me to wondering, what is an ad whore? Is that the same as a marketing whore. Does that Internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have a definition for that. Is that someone who is a whore for marketing, as the word sounds self explanatory. And I do seem to find myself lost in Bloggerland these days, as I am forever trying to figure out how to get rich Internet quick without ever having to leave home. And I do long for that Google page ranking of a thousand so much that I would like to repost this Ode To Blogging. And I am forever reading about that newly learned Internet marketing term “SEO”, as in optimize this site for those search engines; so much that I find myself cramming this site with every noun, verb, and place I can think of. And I am still forever trying to figure out ways to market, promote and build links for that link popularity thing for this blog to reach a bazillion readers a day. And I don’t think I will be getting rich Internet quick anytime soon with my one blog, as I still find myself blogging for pennies a day. And short of winning the lottery, I realize I cannot quit my day job anytime soon. And I have posted on every forum and quorum I can think of trying to advertise this blog. And short of walking around with a billboard attached too myself and a bullhorn in my hand yelling out my websites name, I am running out of ideas on how to market this blog. Maybe I should try skywriting in the sky with an airplane, or maybe I should read that 27 + 1 Tips for Building and Maintaining a Blog Audience again, or look for some more of those endless how to make millions online blogs, tutorials and manuals to read now. And what does the term “riches” mean anyway? Silver, gold and treasures, do you trust in them. And what if they perish. What profit do you have if you gain the whole world and lose your own soul. That could be a whole another blog posting. And what about that verse; “For the love of money is the root of all evil: while some have coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows”. And how do bloggers get thousands and millions and billions of page views a day? I still have yet to figure that one out. Is there a magic trick to all of this? This blogging in a web 2.0 world, user generated content thing has got me going. Have a great day

In The End

And so I have finally come to the realization and conclusion that in the end all there is is Google. The sitemeter tells me so, that in the end all there is is Google, or maybe an AOL or Yahoo search every once in a blue moon. But mostly, all there is is Google in the end. Everything Internet seems to all be powered by Google and now that SEO terms gives a whole new meaning to me that I never realized before when I started this blog that no matter how much I try to get visitors to this site by posting on every forum and board that I can think of, artificially inflating the number of visitors to this site on a temporary basis, that in the end when I run out of blogger steam in the blogosphere and those numbers start to disappear from trying to promote this site, that in the end, all it comes down to is Google, who seems to keep this page alive with its search engine on a consistent basis. As long as I write some sort of content for this site and do nothing else as far as promoting this blog, it is Google who is there visiting. And now I truly understand what the hype is all about regarding that SEO search engine optimization thing. And how or if that Google page rank thing relates to that SEO thing I am not sure as all that Alexa is your blog in the top one billion ranking system, link popularity and other site statistic features are still too confusing for me to comprehend. And it’s sort of funny to me how I notice that the words Google and Blogger share most of the same letters. How interesting. So if there is nothing else, it seems like in the end, There is always Google.
