Discrimination Nation
When tyranny ends, justice begins. And still when it seems as if the world is and could be falling down all around me and spinning out of control when one reads the news and the world news, I still find myself blah blogging away on this blog for some reason. And that Babylon tower of Babel unity, confusion story thing comes to mind on this day. “And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech…And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth…And the Lord said, Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech…Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth”. And what’s up with that Bible, that most widely read book of all time. Are these stories all true? If you believe. And so in these thoughts again, for what reason do those job applications, workplace applications, housing applications, and a lot of other applications that are passing me by at the moment, have that phrase that says something like: “This place does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,creed,religion, looks, clothing, hair, food and a list of other stuff”, and then the check your nationality box if you are black, red, white, yellow, asian,orange, green, caucasian, african american, indian, purple, human, alien, animal, martian, plant and a list of other things on them if there is no discrimination or status quo at their venue. And what does status quo mean again anyway. A state of quota? A quota of the state? And a state of what? And for what reason does that word discriminate have the letters crime and criminal in it. What does this all mean, I cannot comprehend. Is another world possible. And what if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State.
A Day
And even when it seems as if the world is and could be falling down all around me, I still find myself blah blogging away sometimes. And the news says there are wildfires raging away in Los Angeles again. And this day also seems to be Columbus day, I know because the radio, the stores, the post office and libraries says so. And what does Columbus Day mean anyway, is that when Christopher Columbus discovered America and colonized it by violence or something and betrayed the Indians for twenty five dollars worth of trinkets, or is that Thanksgiving Day. Does that Internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have an entry for this sanctioned holiday in that country of America. And in other thoughts, what exactly does that salutation phrase “Peace, love and granola” mean, as I heard someone say that the other day. And this days news seems to have Wall Street ending its going out of business everything must go sale, for the moment. And so I found myself watching television the other day, and it seems as if every other commercial was for a pharmaceutical prescription drug. Is it a drugged up nation courtesy of the American Psychiatric, psych cia trick Association. Psychiatry Kills. And what does that mean. And what, if anything does this have to do with a No Police State? Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

Honk Festival
Hey Bloggers, there’s a Honk Festival going on this weekend somewhere in the Boston area in that country of America. I know because a friend who went there today with The Himalayas Marching Band says so. And in case you haven’t heard, that Honk Festival at the Davis Square takes place each year and has what seems like a zillion marching bands from all around the world that march in its festival over the weekend. And there is a Honk Parade to reclaim the streets for horns, bikes and feet. And Honk! is also at Oktoberfest in Harvard Square and more.
And some of the bands and organizations marching and participating in this years festival are: Green Streets Initiative, the Open Air Circus, Bikes Not Bombs, the Boston Derby Dames, Veterans For Peace, Livable Streets Alliance, the Puppeteers Cooperative, Vermont’s Bread and Puppet Theater, Second Line Social Aid and Pleasure Society Brass_Band, Hungry March Band, Brass Liberation Orchestra, MarchFourth Marching Band, Rude Mechanical Orchestra, Himalayas, Titubanda, What Cheer? Yin And Yang
And so what exactly is Yin and Yang whose images I placed in this blog posting. And what do those words mean. Do those words mean something in another language? Let me consult that Internet bible dictionary Wikipedia and be right back……
Okay, so I didn’t exactly find out what those words meant in another language, though Wikipedia said it had something to do wit the word pinyin, whatever that word could mean. And it also has something to do with Taoism. Isn’t Taoism an Eastern philosophy. Anyway, from what I know, I think it has something to do with the ideas that opposites attract and it is the order of the energy of the universe or something. It is some sort of ki force, whatever Ki could mean. It could be those five elements of the earth, air, fire and water. It is black and white, up and down, hot and cold, loud and quiet, start and stop, salt and sugar, light and dark, life and death. It is that harmonious flow of energy and balance. And what if one is out of balance. It is the sun, the moon, plants, air, water, food, animals, man, the cycle of the seasons, day and night. And opposites attract. And whatever this cool looking image could mean, have a great yin yang day.

A Holy Day
And today on this day is that Yom Kippur holy holiday of the Jewish calendar. I now because a friend told me so. And when I take a look at that Gregorian calendar that is sitting here, it says so too that sure enough October 9 has the words Yom Kippur written on it. And I am not exactly sure what this holiday is all about but I think it has something to do with Rosh Hashanah another one of those holy Jewish holidays that was I think last week and being a Jewish day of atonement and fasting and meditating at sundown for sin. And that is some sort of will indeed to fast before sundown. Repent, Repent for the kingdom is at hand and all have come short of the glory of God, or something like that. And these could be holy days indeed. And though I am not sure what more words to say about this holiday, I can only say Happy Yom Kippur and Happy Jewish New Year of the Jewish calendar year, though I did not even know that there was a Jewish calendar.
Musical Fashion
And I am not sure what to call the title of this post as I blah blog away on this day, though I do know it has something to do with music and fashion that I would like to blah blog about in this post. And so what’s up with that Mary Poppins look that is on the streets these days when it comes to fashion with all of the clothing being either pleated, puffed, or Mary Poppined up in some sort of way. And those half sleeves that everyone is wearing everywhere on the streets that is to be found in clothing stores everywhere these days, I still can not comprehend as a fashion statement. And every era has its fashion trends I guess. And so that photo above with that trippy looking red color was taken by Sugarcane of East Village Pharmacy, and his cool amazingly high tech camera phone, is of Welf, Kevin, Joe, Kevin, Mike and Chris of Funk Monk, or Monk Funk as I have seen it listed on the Lucky Cat’s website, with their horns and drums performing at The Lucky Cat as part of their Brooklyn Experiments series. And that Lucky Cat restaurant, bar and lounge is doing the go green it’s the new thing thing, as they have vegetarian and vegan food and their delivery containers are made of biodegradable and or compostable materials. And their paper that covered that straw that came with that drink was an eco product made from corn and 100% compostable. And they are helping to save planet mother earth I guess. And they are located on that trendie indie rock scene street of Grand with all of its bars and clubs, in that trendy indie hipster rock scene neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn in that City of New York. And their venue rocks. And every decade of New York seems to have it’s era, at least when it comes to real estate. Have a great music and fashion day.
