And I guess now can be a good time to post some sort of holiday season, New Year’s blog post on this blagh again in an attempt to maintain web 2.0 social media user generated content for this blog and my other blog whenever bloggers block possible. Another Gregorian calendar year has arrived, or passed and who knows what the next year will bring. And there seems to be a few good riddance 2016 Facebook events going around on Facebook with this end of the year 2016, as well as Brooklyn Bazaar’s The Greatest New Year’s Party Ever! F#CK 2016 ! party which considers 2016 to be possibly the worst year on record, and the person of the year seems to be the grim reaper. And then there’s that New Year’s Resolutions That Are Actually Realistic link that I find myself posting in internetland every so often with one of those photos that reads, “FORGET PAST MISTAKES AND PRESS ON TO EVEN GREATER MISTAKES”.  And so Jeff Stark’s, nonsense nyc list sent another one of those weekly emails for those parties around New York City if you happen to subscribe to that mailing list.  And if I were to copy and paste part of this weeks nonsensy nyc list, it would read something like:

NOTE: We are 16 years old. We are still a little awkward, and we’re always late these days.

The reason why Nonsense still exists is because it serves a community. You are part of that community. And we still believe this community is vital to New York. Because in these dark times meaningless nonsense is more meaningful than ever. Collective joy brings us together. It is not a substitute for hard work and struggle. It is how you meet your people. It is our release.

We ask for a little help with this project once a year. Your donation covers real costs and keeps us an independent, ongoing resource for do-it-yourself, do-it-together culture in New York City. Please consider donating $15 if you find this list useful — and a little more if we list your events. There’s a link here:

Thank you so much for your support. May we all find joy at 5 in the morning; may we all wake up to go another day.

A Day Of Veterans

Hey yet again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blagh. And so it’s Veteran’s Day again tomorrow according to that Gregorian calendar on the wall. And for some reason I seem to find myself blaghing about holidays a lot lately because hey, it’s less writing sometimes, I think. And so for some reason Christmas displays are already to be found in the stores, skipping Thanksgiving displays. Oh and back to Veterans Day, another one of those holidays that seem to repeat themselves over and over to where I can just post the same blog post over and over in an attempt to maintain content for this blog and my other blog whenever blaghers block possible.

I thought I heard someone say yesterday that today or tomorrow is Veterans Day, another one of those patriotic holidays where the flag wavers come out in force. Let me check the calendar to see. Oh yeah, the calendar says Veterans day is today. Is this day observed in America only, or is this day observed in the rest of the world also? And so I find myself reposting a posting I posted several months ago for Memorial day, another one of those patriot holidays where the American flag wavers come out in force. Veterans account for a majority of the homeless mentally ill population these days, and a majority of them are disabled now as a result. For what reason is this an honor to support? I consider myself antipsychiatricky and do not believe mental illness exists and that psychiatry kills and originates from Nazi Germany where psych cia trists were mass murderers in white coats as is the case today, and that the mental death system is also an extension of Orwellianism, where family members turn in family members, and neighbors turn in neighbors to the thought police for thought crimes. Psychiatry and psych trickery is an art and not a science. And so I would like to think of mental illness as problems in living. And I believe in the abolishment of forced psych cia trick treatment that is often cruel and inhumane. Therapy? The rap y? Y the rap? Therapist, The rapist. Mind Freedom is a great website to read for all things alternative to the mental death system. And so today is Memorial Day in America. I mean Veterans day in America. A celebration of the war day. Another one of those patriotic holidays. The flag wavers are out and yellow ribbons, badges of honor, medals, parades, marches, prayers, patriotic songs, tributes and ceremonies are being broadcast everywhere. The headlines read “Honor the dead soldiers, honor the fallen soldiers and comrades”. Today is the ultimate patriotic fanatic holiday, or the ultimate hate hour as George Orwell might say. My question of the day; for what reason is it an honor to volunteer to be fodder for the canon. For what reason is it an honor to die for nothing, to fight for reasons that do not exist, to fight against the flesh for powers that be that one cannot even see. For what reason is it an honor to be so poor that one will volunteer their life in exchange for money after one leaves the service, if one leaves the service. For what reason is it an honor for persons to be brainwashed with propaganda, theirs or mine. For what reason is it an honor to become a violent person and pick up a gun and kill another person for no reason at all, except for the fact that guns have been invented, the worst invention of an industry ever. For what reason is it an honor to be a veteran who now make up the majority of the homeless population. For what reason is it an honor to attend one of those military sponsored funerals and cry over the image of a flag that propagates violence, the same flag that caused ones death. For what reason is it an honor to fall and die for nothing. For what reason is it an honor to promote this ideology. What is heroic about all of this? And why does the word “Patriot” have the word “Riot” in it? And why does the word “Military” militant militia have the word “Mal” in it? “Parens Patriae, father of the people”, the guardian. That phrase seems to be the basis of an endless amount of death and suffering in the world; the protection of property or other material things. I saw Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11 documentary. It is nineteen eighty four and Orwellianism is everywhere at its best today. Is it written somewhere that this must all come to pass? Happy beach bar b queing Memorial day, I mean Veterans day. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

Honoring The Fallen Again?

Image

So Memorial day just passed a few days ago. And when that get rich internet quick does not get rich internet quick and that Google page rank update is still wanting to  send me in search of a fifth full time job, and trying to figure out how to use this WordPress blog is even more trippy, I still find myself blaghing for some reason. And so that photo above that I came across in facebookland has text that reads as follows:

KNOW YOUR HISTORY: Memorial Day was started by former slaves on May, 1, 1865 in Charleston, SC to honor 257 dead Union Soldiers who had been buried in a mass grave in a Confederate prison camp. They dug up the bodies and worked for 2 weeks to give them a proper burial as gratitude for fighting for their freedom. They then held a parade of 10,000 people led by 2,800 Black children where they marched, sang and celebrated.

Thanks to Abstrakt Goldsmith for this nugget of history that most of us never learned in school.”

And that recycle this blog Memorial Day day post that I found myself posting on this blog some time a while ago reads:

And Memorial Day is almost near in a couple of days or so according to that Gregorian calendar and all of those street festivals that are to be found everywhere in the streets today. And I thought to blah blog about this patriotic flag waving holiday. And this also leads me to realize that I have been blahging on this blog for over a year now and that these holidays seem to be a recurring event and same day, different year when that same ole Gregorian calendar date roles around. And then I thought, hey, I can just post the same blog entry from a year ago that I posted on this blog a year ago because it almost seems like it’s the same day, different year. And besides, it;s less writing sometimes. So the following is a passage that I posted on this blog a year ago:

And today is Memorial Day in America. A celebration of the war day. Another one of those patriotic holidays. The flag wavers are out and yellow ribbons, badges of honor, medals, parades, marches, prayers, patriotic songs, tributes and ceremonies are being broadcast everywhere.
