And with a hurricane approaching the country of America, Yahoo Headlines are starting to read topics like “With a historic evacuation of 1.9 million people from the Louisiana coast complete, guntoting police and National Guardsmen stood watch for a hurricane,” and CNN headlines that read “New Orleans imposes dusk-to-dawn curfew”. And guns are the worst invention of a death industry ever. If only guns could be abolished from every human being on the face of planet earth, as if property is worth more than human life. And what would happen if no one lost their lives to gun violence today, tomorrow and thereafter, would the media and advertising industry be out of a job? And it seems to be a vicious cycle of a beast that feeds upon itself. Is another world possible. Where is the world headed. Is there hope for the world and society in these days and times. And even when it seems as if the world is falling down all around me, I still find myself blah blogging sometimes. And for some reason this verse from the bible comes to mind on this day, “So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter”. And for some reason I did not make it to that “Music Now” music event at the Brecht Forum that is taking place on this night with the Peoples Revolutionary Party and musicians The Black August Quintet with Ras,Walden Wimberley,Rashid Bakr(Charles Downs),Larry Roland,Matt Lavelle, On,Tor Yochai Snyder,Andre Martinez, The Seth Meicht Trio, James Keepnews,Mike Golub,Welf D.,Tom Chess,Matt Lavelle,Todd Nicholson,Daniel Carter,Nick Gianni and Ras Moshe. And I wanted to post a photo of those musicians performing there on this blog on this day in my blogaholicness. And that photo is not here as I am not there for some reason or another. Have a great music day.![]()

A State Of Police
Hey Bloggers, and being that I am on the topic of headlines and news again, what are these headlines all about from emails that have been sitting in my email inbox for a while now with titles like “MTV Warns Viewers of Looming Police State”, a video that is to be found here, “Endgame: Blueprint For Global Enslavement” another video that is from one of those NewPacifica Yahoo Group emails that I have somehow found myself subscribing to. And then there’s “Crime-ridden Arkansas town expands 24-hour curfew” another Yahoo News story, and then there is that one that is on the Yahoo Home Page at the moment as I type this blog entry, “Not Patriotic Enough?, A man gets ejected from Yankee Stadium for leaving his seat during “God Bless America.” And for what reason does the word patriot have the word traitor, riot, or parent in it, maybe. And I could click on the title of these emails to read what they are all about, and from what those headlines say it gives me the question, is it a state of police and policies. And what would George Orwell, nineteen eighty four and Aldous Huxley and that Brave New World novel have to say about this, if anything. Is there hope for the world, where is the world headed. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?![]()
Light
And I am here wondering what this title “Is it really green?” that was in the am New York newspaper from some time ago is all about. And this article says something about are those new light bulbs that have been replacing regular incandescent light bulbs really green. And for some reason that phrase “Too much light makes the baby go blind” comes to mind. Are these little spirally shaped designed energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs really safe? And they seem to be a gazillion and hundreds of times times more brighter that those regular home electric light bulbs that I am used to. And though they may be safer for the environment, I am not so sure if they are safer for the eyes and eyesight. And then there is that topic of fluorescent light. And for some reason that word fluorescent reminds me of the word Lucifer, Luciferfluoresce, the devil, the deceiver and bearer of light who changes form. And then it has me wondering if all of these institutional lighting that is to be found throughout the world could really be from or some form of the devil, evil that lives, to deceive mankind in my fanatic thoughts. And this changing of regular household standard light bulbs to fluorescent “Go Green” lighting gets me to wondering if it is really environmentally conscious at all. Help save planet mother earth. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind..![]()

And then what about those office buildings that are so cold, even in the middle of winter that it could have one wondering, for what reason is this place freezing inside with an air conditioner on in the middle of winter, and for what reason do I feel like putting on a winter coat to work inside of this building? News And Events
And as I find myself reading headlines of the day with titles such as “India nabs boy, 14, in iPod slay, Police look to screen every vehicle in New York for terrorism, In 1976 Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ron Wayne design and began selling the Apple 1 computer at a price of $666.66, Mosquito’s are responsible for more deaths annually than all other animals and human wars combined, Long Island teens apparently inspired by the violent video game “Grand Theft Auto” went on a robbery and crime spree, A Brooklyn church is buying guns off the street for $200 cash, no questions asked” and other interesting headlines too inumerous and horrendous to mention, I am still finding myself wondering what events are going on this weekend, even in the midst of what seems like the last days and the beginning of the end of society and the world and its morals when one reads the news. And so I thought to post some events because, hey, it’s less writing sometimes.
And some good friends “Dubtronics” are playing some ambient electronica tonight at the Stain Bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn if you happen to be in the neighborhood. And that Charlie Parker Jazz Festival seems to be happening this weekend as well at Marcus Garvey Park and Tompkins Square Park with artists such as the Barry Harris Trio, Charles McPherson, Vanessa Rubin, Rashied Ali, Robert Glasper, Randy Weston, Jerry Gonzalez and Fort Apache , Eric Lewis, Gretchen Parlato and more. And that New York Fringe Festival 2008 has been going on this past week as well with so many performances and show listings that it can take a while to see them all. And I imagine there must be an infinity more of events happening this weekend, and they are passing me by at the moment. Have a great event day.![]()

An Interestng Email Message
And here is another one of those emails I received from a friend, who received from another friend, and so on and so on and so on. And I thought this interesting to post on this blog, though I could not exactly get those colorful photos that came along with that email to post on this blog so easily:
God’s Pharmacy! Amazing!
A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye.. and yes, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.
A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the research shows to matoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.
Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.
A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.
Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.
Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).
Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility. Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.
Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries
Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just l ike the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.
Onions look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.
