A MySpace Comment

Hey bloggers, and as I found myself MySpaceing along on my MySpace page the other day in my MySpaceaholicness, I found myself coming across this following comment that was posted on my page from Charles Wallace’s MySpace page. And this poem is the lyrics to one of his songs. And that is an interesting lyric to me. So much that I thought to post it on this blog. Have a great MySpace songs and lyrics day.

Little Jimmy Dean was lookin kinda lean
dropped out of school at only Fifteen
He need order, uh-huh, since he was born
then he met a man in a uniform who said:

“C’mon Jimmy, join the U.S. Military,
make your momma real proud”

So he signed on that dotted line
The National Guard it sounded pretty fine
He never dreamed upon that very day
they’d ship him off to Guantanamo Bay

Where they teach ya to torture and treat ’em so bad
to protect your very way of life
Oh, and to hide it, abide it cuz someday soon
They’ll be cashing in your bill rights

So he ruled on that prison block
He took his orders down from the top
He did his duty, down to the T
even the murder of a detainie

And now they want ya, they want ya, they want ya back
even though you thought you did your time
cuz the judge and the jury from the U.S. Army
want to prosecute ya now Jimmy, for your war crimes

Oh no, oh no now the General on the phone,
he swears you acted upon your own.
Someone’s got to pay the price they say
a violation of them human rights

Human rights Jimmy, remember those?
must have been all that death and torture

Death torture, Jimmy, goin’ down
Some violent torture comin’ back around
If you confess they’re gonna cop you a plea
Death and torture’s gonna set you free

Michael Jackson

And with the news of the day that seems as if it is prempting all other news. Michael Jackson, the king of pop, has passed away from cardiac arrest, and according to TMZ.com, as yet another victim of hollywood and psychiatry, painkillers, morphine and demerol. And I found myself posting this following post on this blog a while ago:

Hey Bloggers, and somehow I came across this video while youtubeing on YouTube the other day in search of youtubeness and that “Claudine” movie from the sixties, that lead me to “Sparkle” that other classic movie from I think the 80’s that then led me somehow to Donny Hathaway,a composer who has songs in these films. And his songs seem as if they can bring the holy ghost to one with their gospel overtones. And it is really cool to me the idea that one can watch whole films and television shows on YouTube for if nothing else to do, seemingly hours at a time, endless. And so in my search for this Donny Hathaway, Giving Up (Live At The Astrodome) video that came up. it was somehow written that Donny Hathaway was another one of those entertainers who died a tragic death and whose life was cut short, possibly as the result of Hollywood production companies, psychiatry and its psychotropic medications of bug spray chemical lobotomies mainly. And this entertainer seems to have passed along the lines of so many countless entertainers and classic legends as Marilyn, Anna, Keith, Kurt, Elvis and other entertainers of hollywood who could have possibly become victims of hollywood, the mental death system, psychiatry and contracts. And Psychiatry Kills. Abolish involuntary forced psychiatric treatment. No one is free while others are oppressed. And I do not believe in mental illness. I have always thought of it as problems in living. And those EDP emotionally disturbed people are everyday people to me. And I have always thought of psych cia tricks as legalized drug dealers, mass murderers in white coats, an industry bigger than the war industry originating in Nazi Germany whose origin is of eugenics and genocide. And for all things alternatives to psychiatry, Mind Freedom is a good website to visit for human rights in the mental health system. And what, if anything does this have to to do with a No Police State. Have a great entertainment day.

death

The Lord’s Prayer

Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not. Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto the dust shalt thou return. Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might, for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave whither thou goest. So man lieth down, and riseth not, till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away. For in death, there is no remembrance of thee; in the grave who shall give thee thanks?, What man is he that liveth and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave?
And these are all passages and verses from the Layman’s Bible Encyclopedia on the topic of death that I find around me. And sometimes it seems as if the world is spinning out of control and that Poodwaddle World Clock with its statistics of life, birth, death, population, illness, crime, accidents and environment is very much a part of humanity and this world. And demons and spirits are all around us on this planet of earth. And so there was another tragic airplane accident miles from Brazil where jet debris was found in the Atlantic ocean that made headlines the other week. And if I recall, it is another tragedy of life that has happened in times past. Who knows the hour or their death? Has anyone ever spoken to the dead? And I found myself posting an entry about another Brazil plane crash a while ago on this blog before as follows:

Reading the news on the Yahoo homepage and around the world today is awful, God awful, whoever God may be, on any given day these days. Amongst the many cacophony and anomaly of disasters that take place daily that are too many for me to follow, man made and natural, there lies yesterdays disaster. A Brazilian airliner crashes and all of the passengers have lost their lives and the length of their days has been shortened. The statue of Christ the Redeemer is located in Brazil, and it is beautiful. Unfortunately plane crashes happen every so often much like many other man made disasters in this world. This news makes me want to pray for the latest tragedy and the possible profit before people motive and misfortune that has become the result and it makes me wonder about how if you can use the word precious, human life is and how ones life can end without notice and that all humans are prone to accidents and are at risk of losing their lives at any given moment whether by war, plague, famine, wild beasts or disease. One can never know when their number is up or who can predict the day of ones death, who is exempt from death and who knows what to morrow will bring. Time and chance happens to us all. Humanity, much like the beasts of the fields and the birds of the air is subject to the death lottery in life. And death is a part of life. Brazil has declared a national day of mourning as a result of its worst plane disaster in history. And Lord willing, I also think of the Lords Prayer. If one believes.

Our Father, which art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
in earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.

An Oliva NYC Nite

And so I found myself at that Oliva Restaurant & Bar the other night in search of a band that seems to have transformed itself into another band performing an episode from some sort of band drama there that night and the hosting of an illusion of some sort. And what a confusing Oliva Restaurant and Bar live music East Village night scenario it was there indeed on the New York City music scene of bands who can sometimes seem as if they are other bands. And so I found myself in Times Square yesterday watching The Underground Horns and The Naked Cowboy performing at Duffy Square. And their performances so New York City rocked that I thought to post this video of them. Have a great New York City music day.

A Brooklyn Celebration

And even though it sometimes seems as if the world can be going to hell in a handbasket and the world is falling down all around me, I still find myself blah blogging for some reason. And then every so often I find myself posting blog entries about events because, hey, it’s less writing sometimes. And still I sometimes ask myself, how do those other bloggers out there bloggerlandville do it? How does one maintain and attempt to maintain more than one blog with content whenever possible. Is there an internet guru to answer this question. And so again, I find myself posting another one of those events in that city of New York that seemingly never sleeps, as follows:

Celebrate Brooklyn: Yes, it seems to be that time of year again for this really cool annual summer concert series of music, dance, word and film festival out there in Prospect Park, Park Slope Brooklyn at the Prospect Park bandshell that makes for good picnics on that grassy lawn. And some of those performers for this years festival include: David Byrne, Goran Bregovic and his Wedding and Funeral Orchestra, David Rudder, Samantha Thornhill, Ethel, Gutbucket, Le Nave de los Monstruos, Femi Kuti and Positive Force, Melvin Gibbs’ Elevated Entity, Blonde Redhead, Phosphorescent, Rebel Diaz, Cucu Diamantes, Los Amigos Invisibles, Aterciopelados, Streb, They Might Be Giants, Claudia Marshall, Kronos Quartet, Luminescent Orchestrii, Robert Cray, The Sweet Divines, King Sunny Ade, Mandingo Ambassadors, Abena Koomson, Sing Sing, Yasser Darwish, Jackson Browne, Stephen Petronio Company, Buckwheat Zydeco, The Holmes Brothers, Kailash Kher, Electro Morocco, Burning Spear, Naomi Shelton and The Gospel Queens, John Scofield, Soulive, Christian Scott, Dumpstaphunk, Grace Potter, The Nocturnals, Deer Tick, The London Souls, TV On The Radio, Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal, Animal Collective and more. And this festival Prospect Park Rocks.

And then there’s going to be a house party:

It’s time to party. Dance till you can’t dance no more. Underground Horns will be playing at the EastRev underground loft party, June 27th, at The Lake in Bushwick Brooklyn with Karuhata, Alex Genin, Marionette Roulette, DJ Emma Sound Sista, DJ Joro Boro, Big Sister and more. And I thought to post this flyer of their event above because it looks way cool to me with it’s colors and all. And this event Bushwick Rocks.

Oh, and then there’s also Make Music New York June 21st. And this entry I just copy from my Myspace page:

An Interesting Email

Hey Bloggers, and this is one of those emails I received from a friend as one of those group emails that I thought was kind of funny so I thought to post it on this blog as follows. And this is one of those emails that could require a sense of humor. And so I thought to post this passage also because hey, it’s less writing sometimes in an attempt to maintain content for this blog and my other blog whenever possible:

My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE: “If you two are going to kill each other, do it outside – I just finished cleaning!”
My mother taught me RELIGION: “You better pray that stain will come out of the carpet.”
My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL: “If you don’t behave, I’m going to knock you into the middle of next week!”
My mother taught me LOGIC: “Because I said so, that’s why.”
My mother taught me IRONY: “Keep crying and I’ll give you something to cry about.”
My mother taught me about the science of OSMOSIS: “Shut your mouth and eat your supper!”
My mother taught me about CONTORTIONISM: “Will you look at the dirt on the back of your neck!”
My mother taught me about STAMINA: “You’ll sit there ’till all your spinach is finished.”
My mother taught me about WEATHER: “It looks as if a tornado swept through your room.”
My mother taught me about HYPOCRISY: “If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a million times – Don’t Exaggerate!!!”
My mother taught me THE CIRCLE OF LIFE: “I brought you into this world, and I can take you out.”
My mother taught me about BEHAVIOUR MODIFICATION: “Stop acting like your father!”
My mother taught me about ENVY: “There are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don’t have wonderful parents like you do!”

Have a great seemingly funny passage day.
