2012, religion, spiritual

December 21 2012

And this is one of those posts that I have blogged about on this blog before. And with the invention of that movie 2012, who will survive 2012, that seems to be in theaters now to bring more light to that concept, I thought to post this blog entry again. And it is the age of Aquarius, let the sunshine in, the dawning of the new age, the period of transition of the next millennium according to that internet bible Wikipedia, which could be a whole another blog posting.

12.21.2012. What do those numbers mean to you, anything? December 12, 2012, that could mean the London Olympics are coming. Well if you are a religious fanatic reader of prophet and psychic predictions like me, it could mean a whole lot. It could mean doomsday, Armageddon, the Apocalypse, judgement day, the end of the world, a new world order or some new age, spiritual transformation, evolution, higher universe. It could mean the beginning and the end of World War III according to Nostradamus. It could mean the meteors, comets, asteroids, aliens and spaceships are coming to planet earth. Could it mean the anti christ and the Pope will appear? Oh, the Pope is already here. It could mean that the sun will reverse its own magnetic pole. It could mean the solstice and moon cycles will end, or at least it could mean that is when the Mayan calendar ends in 2012. The Maya believed that their world would end on December 21, 2012 and that Orion and Pleiades told them so. All of these sciences, beliefs, theories, philosophies, astrology, years and calendars are too complex for me to understand, but at a glance I believe in them all, or what does this mean, will the world really end? Will some world changing event take place in 2012? The clock is ticking. What does the future hold? Wait and be watchful for the return of something. In 5yrs, 6 months, 8 days, 19 minutes and 32 seconds of 5 years and 193 days as of this writing, 2012 is here. 12.21.2012, what do those numbers mean to you?
Note: Lo, and behold. Here is one of many secrets that the yoga guy says in the text below him in the drawing above, he depicts the progression of humanity.. A-L=12, halfway through the alphabet, O-Z=12, halfway through the alphabet. ALOZ, ALLAH. 12.21.2012, 0102. OLOZ, AL-OZ, ALOZ, ALLAH. M and N the middle of the alphabet = the Millennium, the head of Christ, Grist, the Holy Grail, The Holy Ghost, a thousand years shall Satan be let loose? And there is much more to be written in the text below the yoga guy above (Yahweh,Jehovah,JHVH,YHVH,YHWH, YOGA), part of the trinity. And I have actually posted this on this blog before and for some reason I thought to repost it again. Have a great day.

3rd Ward

Hey Bloggers, and 3rd ward is having a party. I know because this weeks Nonsense NYC list says so. And in case you haven’t heard, Nonsense NYC is that cool list of all these happening events throughout that city of New York on the seemingly underground and aboveground maybe, cultural art, music and entertainment scene. And so they list as one of their many weekly events that 3rd ward is having this what seems like the be all to end all with just about everyone that one can think of on the arts and cultural entertainment scene and beyond to make this party. And that event is described as follows.

XXXXX SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10 XXXXX

Nonsense NYC presents:

10

A one-night physical manifestation of the Nonsense NYC email list, celebrating 10 years of weird art and culture coverage in New York City. Featuring artwork by 75 artists and collectives, an all-night dance party, and performances every five minutes. With eight installation theater spaces and a spectacular spectacle on a brand new floor at one of the best venues in Brooklyn.

From 7-9p, artists, collectives, and makers look into the future with a salon-style gallery show on the main floor. The enemy of anyone celebrating 10 years in New York is nostalgia. To fight it, we decided to ask what people want to see in the *next* 10 years. The response is overwhelming: 75 visions of what culture could be like in the next decade. From Rubulad’s line-up to swim races in the Gowanus Canal, from the Danger’s antics to the Bruce High Quality Foundation’s gender benders, you’ll see it here first.

Then, from 9p-1a, we turn the brand-new second floor space into eight different theatrical venues for a series of intimate performances starting every five minutes. You will not be able to attend everything; No one will. But a very limited number of people will witness very special events performed just for them. Featuring Lauren Darling’s Hungry for More, a Lady Circus Clothing Swap, and Sxip’s Quarter Hour of Charm among other delights. Be there to get tickets early.

At 1a we celebrate 10 years with a special commemorative performance and open up the entire space for dancing amid the performance detritus. Featuring DJs Joro Boro, Dirty Finger, Jaiko, Small Change, and Justin Carter until very, very late. More music by Raya Brass Band and King Expressers.

This is a special night. Dress like it.

A partial list of artists and performers: Hungry March Band, Flux Factory, Tom Beale, Winkel and Baltick, House of Yes, Mark Read and Gregg Osofsky, Hi Christina, Gemini and Scorpio, ABC No Rio, Cinders, Joe Tuba, Galapagos Art Space, Madagascar Institute, Union Docs, the Change You Want to See Gallery, Glowlab, Jason Sinopoli, Tom Swirly, Shel Kimen, Mia Ihara, We’ll Never Have Paris, Black Label Bike Club, In Our Hearts, VAST, Newmindspace, Paula Segal-Dylan Gauthier, Shanimal, Kayrock Screenprinting, Newsonic, Improv Everywhere, Secret Project Robot, the Poetry Brothel, Michele Carlo, Reverend Billy, Matt Levy, Ayen Tran, Paige’s House of Collection, Dorkbot, Rude Mechanical Orchestra, Anney Fresh, Keith Ozar, Nerd Nite, Dark Passage, Nick Jones, Glasslands, Small Print Fare, Paul Lukas, Figment, Touching You, the Reverend Burke Hefner, Dizzy Izzy and the Rockets of Desire, Zemi 17, Marygoround, Bushwick Book Club, Nicole Whelan, Jean Loscalzo, Graspy McTakeItAll, Zero Boy

The Ching Chings

Hey Bloggers, or anyone who may be reading this blah blog. And even when it seems as if the world is falling down all around me, I still find myself blah blogging sometimes. And this post that comes to mind happens to be about the phrase “The ching chings.” As in those iPod radios that are so loud when one is going their way on that New York City subway train or bus that one can hear the noise from someone elses headphones sitting right next to them that manifests itself as a loud ching ching. And these ching ching beats, the noise of a music beat can even be heard seemingly from a mile away on that subway bus, car or other mode of transportation as one is going their way. And this newest, most recent phenomenon of those high tech gadgets seems as if it wants to turn humanity into robots, a robot nation of texting, gaming, fidgeting and gadgeting away in a trance in transit robots nation on the streets of New York and beyond in this world we live in in these days and times. Have a great radio headphone listening going my way day.

Cremation

And so I found myself at Luther’s memorial the other day. Yet another person who has passed away to death from living here on planet earth. And as I looked up to behold the eulogy, there he was, a bowl of dust, cremated, burned to ashes. Is this what life amounts to in the end sometimes, a bowl of dust to be scattered somewhere? Cremation, what’s the meaning of that word. Does Wikipedia, that internet bible dictionary have an entry for that word, as I gather it has something to do with death. Is there some sort of verse in the bible about this ashes to ashes, dust to dust thing about life and death? What’s the purpose of life to wind up cremated in an urn in a bowl of dust, next to a vase of flowers and a photo. Is cremation some sort of second death? What’s the purpose of being born if one is going to wind up as a bowl of dust, and what’s the meaning of life with meaning, to hear the angels of death. And I have heard it said that the only thing constant in life is change.

The News

And even when the world seems as if it could be falling down all around me, I still find myself blah blogging away sometimes, maybe. And this is another one of those postings where I ponder what to blah blog about and where I wonder for what content to fill this blog up with in my attempt to maintain this blog whenever possible. And so I see all of these emails that have been sitting around in my email inbox for quite some time now with titles like “AP IMPACT: Tons of released drugs taint US water”, “Ohioans ticketed for parking in own driveways”,”Saudi clerics want women banned from TV, media”, “Threatening text prompts 3-school lockdown in Del”,
whose article story links on Yahoo News have long been expired and the page is not found. And a New York Daily News article, poor families line up for Bloomberg cash for school plan. And then yet another news article in yesterdays amNewYork with a title like “Sci-fi crime fight too far?, Mayor’s plan includes a face recognition system, cell tracking”. And so what do I make of these story headlines of these days and times of the planet earth we live on. What commentary does anyone make of these headlines for the society and the world we live in here on planet earth? And what, if anything does this have to do with a No Police State?

The Hip Hop Subway Series

Yo people I am back in NYC after an amazing run of the Hip Hop Subway Series in Prague, Berlin, and even one set up in Warsaw. Had an amazing time in France and got to chill for real in Singapore. After my travels its time for me to reconnect.

There are gonna be a few surprise guests from another country so get ready to get your network on. The theme will be Da Hustla. In these days and times, hustling is on the come back. Hustlas know how to make gold out of lead. I wanna know can you rhyme about economics? Can you rhyme about making real life and death situations just to feed your family? Just to live? The theme is for the ones who go out every morning never knowing exactly how to get that bread and at the end of the day give it to their family. Da Hustla does not recognize recession. Hosting will be yours truly Kid Lucky.

Moviehouse on India Street Film Series

As part of its India Street Mural Project — currently on view on the Greenpoint waterfront — the North Brooklyn Public Art Coalition and Moviehouse celebrates six murals created this summer by projecting a series of films directly on the wall around the murals. On September 8, six local filmmakers Lam Thuy Vo, Joshua Carrero, Sarah Pirozek, Vanara Taing, Nathan Punwar, Hiram Becker, and Chris King presented the movies they created to capture the mural artists as they spent the month of June turning a common white wall into a master work of public art. On September 21, the series wraps up with two decidedly Brooklyn documentaries: Uncertain Industry and Up on the Roof.

Jane Jacobs Night

Readings and musings by those inspired by the defender of neighborhoods — MC’d by Rev. Billy Talen and Savitri D from the Church of Life After Shopping.

Activists and authors read excerpts from Death and Life of Great American Cities and correspondence that Ms. Jacobs sent in support of neighborhood-saving campaigns over the years. With: Michael Premo, New York Hip Hop Festival and Picture the Homeless; Cathryn Swan, Washington Square Park Blog and Save Union Square; Christabel Gough, NYC preservationist hero; Bob Holman, Howl Festival, Bowery Poetry Club; Kevin Baker, Historian and author of Dreamland; Joy Chatel, Defender of the Duffield House Brooklyn Underground Railroad landmark; Philip Dipaolo, the People’s Firehouse and Brooklyn neighborhood activists; and Carol Greitzer, City Councilwoman, Landmarking of Tammany Hall building on Union Square.

After a street in the Village was named Jane Jacobs Way –and the presiding city official of the ceremony was Christine Quinn– we learned a lesson. The legacy of our heroes will be appropriated by our opponents as a matter of strategy. The letter to Saving Coney Island by Ned Jacobs, Jane’s son, urging resistance to the Bloomberg-and-Quinn backed highrises of Coney — underscores the need to hold our values in the face of sophisticated public relations spin.

We celebrate Jane Jacobs Night to share the personal impact that she has had on our campaigns to save neighborhood diversity here in the city. We celebrate Ms. Jacobs as the founder of our activism.
