Nublu Nite

Hey Bloggers, this is actually one of those postings that I was hoping could be a blog your way to riches, get rich internet quick post. But for some reason it isn’t. So instead I find myself blah blogging yesterdays posting that I posted on my other blog:
Okay, so somehow I wound up at that club Nublu last night in the East Village to see my friend Welf Dorr’s band “Funk Monk” play after a night of going to some art opening with all of the free wine and cheese you can eat. And Nublu is this really cool artist collective like club that Ilhan Ersahin started sometime from back in the day with artists who perform there like Brazilian Girls, a band for which the club seems to be mostly known for these days, Forro In The Dark, Kino, Kudu, Kenny Wollesen, Butch Morris and the Nublu Orchestra, Wax Poetic, Real Live Show, John Farris, Karina, Love Trio and a host of others. And they always have these really kool dj’s that play there also And that club that seems to be all the rage these days on the nightlife scene, seems like this hip scene thats never been seen before. And so my friends band gave me yet another good reason to drag the camera, whose main purpose seems to be to collect dust these days, out of the closet. And so I couldn’t wait to play with the camera again. This blog entry was supposed to have a photo of them playing posted in it also but that didn’t happen for some reason, because one thing I figured out in my experiment as a wannabe cameraman is to never attempt to use a camera after a night of free wine and cheese. And so the following is the YouTube video of my friends band on my YouTube page. This one seems to be sort of a cliffhanger video with an abrupt, frustrating ending to me. And the sound of that electronica synthesizer saxophone, and this evolution of the web 2.0 social media user driven content technology thing rocks. Have a great music day.

The Headlines Again

There is was in the headlines again yesterday. A rampage occured in a different state of America everyday this past week and another person has lost their life to gun violence with no end in sight. And it seems as if I could almost devote this blog to reposting and repeating this blog entry over and over on a daily basis with no end in sight. The following is a blog entry that was posted a few das ago:
There it is in the news again today. Again, I could cut and paste my blog entries over and over in my appeal to banish guns from every human being on the face of planet earth and to end the use of the images of guns in all forms of advertising, marketing, film and television as I have written in blog posts of the past. Does not advertising influence society. Guns are the worst invention of an industry ever. The am New York had an interesting statistic in an article titled “Guns and people”; there are nine guns for every ten people in the United States, a scary statistic. And The Villager has interesting statistics in an article titled “”Lower East Siders blast back against gun violence”, New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, told a forum that 30,000 people a year are killed in gun violence nationally. And yet another person has lost their life to gun violence, and everyday someone loses their lives to acts of gun violence for whatever reason and no reason at all except for the fact that guns have been invented. It is a story that has been told in yesterdays headlines and will be told in tomorrows headlines with no end in sight. It is an industry that feeds on itself, advertisement and sensational nationalism breeds crime which breeds news, which breeds crime, which breeds more advertisement which breeds more crime. Will the cycle of the beast that has it’s grip on humanity ever end. Should not guns be abolished from humanity as a whole, from everyone on the face of planet earth. And then there is that constitutional 4th amendment, the right to bear arms that should be abolished or rewritten to abolish guns and replace them with sticks and stones or something. The idea that property, material goods are worth more than life. And the whole world is paying with the loss of human life which seems to be a disposal commodity in the war industry of people against humanity. Are the slaughters of wars debasing the value of human life? Will the beast, who or whatever it is, ever release it’s grip on mankind? Are the standards of social behavior declining? Is there a worldwide moral breakdown? Is society collapsing? Where is the world headed, is there hope? And one could turn the page of the newspaper and forget about these stories and daily atrocities of the world, yet they still exist. I am one voice, one blogger. If only it were possible to go back in time before guns existed. Is another world possible. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

Chop Shop

Hey bloggers, I am not exactly sure what this movie trailer for the film “Chop Shop”, by Ramin Bahrani of “Man Push Cart” is all about that I put in this blog post. It is one of those films that I have been following in the news and in its journey through time and travels and premiers throughout the world for seemingly forever since its inception as “The Iron Triangle”. And now this film has finally made its way toward New York City where it opens February 27th at the Film Forum. And the film, or is it a documentary, has something to do with Queens and the invisible people as far as I can figure out. Well, I guess if I want to see more of the film I could just make my way over to that theater when it starts playing. And whatever this film is all about, have a great film day.

This Bicycle

Oh, now that’s interesting. There is a photo of a bicycle in this blog entry. And that’s a cool, comfortable looking bike that almost looks as if it could be one of those vintage road bikes that can be fun and easy to ride. And I have always liked riding bikes, especially in a city like New York City where most everyone bikes to work or walks to get around town. And then there are those bicycle advocacy groups like Critical Mass and Transportation Alternatives that advocate bicycle safety in the sometimes mean streets of New York City. And what are beach cruiser bicycles. Those sound like bicycles that one can cruise the beach on all day long and nite. And if one is looking to get away from the city streets, those bikes must make for great recreation on the beach, if there is a beach around. I imagine beach cruisers must be fun to ride arond on the beach and boardwalk. And if you happen to be looking for one of those bikes, CruiserStyle.com offers many different kinds of beach cruisers. Their website has Womens Cruisers, Mens Cruisers, Kids Cruisers, Lowriders and Choppers, and parts and accessories and great deals. Their bikes come in many different colors, sizes and speeds. CruiserStyle.com are all bikes, all the time.

Ashes To Ashes

“Ashes to ashes, and dust to dust. Where the good die young, it’s all die must..”. Isn’t that a verse in that “Beat Street” film song I heard before? And it’s wacky weather again today. Tornadoes in some states and summertime in New York in the beginning of February. Is this that global warming climate change we should all go green 2012 thing. Anyway, hey bloggers, for what reason is every other person walking around town today with black crosses and smears on their foreheads. Is today Halloween for a certain group of people? And then I passed by a church, and there he was. A Priest standing on the church steps with a bowl of some black stuff, painging passerbys foreheads with more of those x’s and crosses, yelling “ashes”. And there was a sign nearby that read “Ash Wednesday Service 7:00pm”. Oh, it’s Ash Wednesday according to that Gregorian Calendar. And what does that mean. A day of ashes on a Wednesday. And ashes for what. Well I think it is some sort of religions holiday and that this is another one of those Wikipedia consultations for me. And whatever this day may mean, happy Ash Wednesday.

Fashion Weak

So I guess time flies sometimes. It is a year later since the following blog posting on my other blog. And here this blog can be repeating itself each time of the year, so much that I find I can repost the same blog entry for the same event, for the same holiday, a year later: If you are weak for fashion than this may be the time of year for you. Fashion week must be coming up sometime soon because all of the newspapers are starting to show those familiar photos of models walking down the runways wearing clothes that say what the latest styles and trends for the upcoming fall, summer, spring, winter or any other season of the day or year it is will be. And what is there to say about fashion except go out and buy more clothes if you want to be stylish and trendy in New York because I am not sure if someone in nowhere ville, no town is as fashion conscious as New Yorkers can be. I myself can only afford to keep up with the latest trends that are to be at the local thrift store and wearing a sheet or a potato sack is good enough for me as a fashion statement. If only every day were Halloween in this town because then I could wear anything and it wouldn’t matter because it’s Halloween, a day to be free to be whoever one wants to invent oneself as. Happy fashion weak.

This Online Casino

Now that’s interesting. Todays blog posting, which was actually meant to be yesterdays blog posting, is about an online casino vegas, vegas casino games, a casino online and money, casinos, and more casinos. And when I think of casinos, I think of Vegas. If you happen to be looking for online casino games, 32vegas.com offers blackjack, slots and over a 100 different casino games. You can play all of the casino games you can think of at their website. They are all casino games all the time.

The Recession Is Over

What does it mean when I find myself going to social events and the topics of conversations become whole passages from my blogs, from memory. Is this one of those 50 Signs You’re A Blogaholic? And there was this interesting article in yesterdays Metro titled “Weak Wide Web”, it was about two cables that carry Internet traffic deep under the Mediterranean Sea that snapped, disrupting service across Asia and the Middle East and causing a ripple effect to some U.S. and European companies. Now that’s interesting, and kind of scary if one in an Internet addict, the idea that the Internet can actually disappear into a black hole to never never land and that it is not some mysterious mythical figure from outer space connecting us all. What would the world be like without the Internet these days. How did the world even exist before the invention of the Internet.
And here is another one of those emails with the subject titled “The Recession Is Over”, that was fowarded to my inbox from a friend who sent it to him who sent it to him and so on and so on and so on. And I think this Dave Chappelle video can be funny as heck if one can find humor, I think.

Sedona

Wow! Sedona. I remember that city in the State of Arizona as one of the most beautiful, awesome, serene and peaceful places on planet Earth. Isn’t that where those red rocks and vortexes are located. And isn’t that also where some of those Marlborough Man cigarette advertisements were photographed before, with those red rock mountains in the background. And there is red sand and new age, spiritual everything to be found in this town everywhere from what I hear. And now there is a book, “Happy For No Reason”, by Marci Shimoff, that has been written that can change you life. Mariel Heminway tells how The Sedona Method raised her happiness and changed her life in the book “Happy For No Reason”. This book discusses how the The Sedona Method leads the happiness wave and you can learn how The Sedona Method is the secret to being truly happy. You can get a free CD and DVD also. And if you sign up now you can also receive a free subscription to the Sedona Method Success and well being newsletter and also a free insiders guide to The Sedona Method e-Reports. And you can also listen to audio samples of all four Sedona Method courses online. The Sedona Method can help you discover who you are and help you to become a more happier and peaceful you. And is this book related to that town Sedona in Arizona? And here is an interesting excerpt from the book:

Happiness Habit For The Mind #2:

Go Beyond The Mind And Let Go

If you let go a little
You will have a little peace.
If you let go a lot
You will have a lot of peace.
If you let go completely
You will have complete peace.

—The Venerable Ajahn Chah, 20th century Buddhist monk
